So, I shall be constructing a mighty beauty for roughly 350 bucks not including the operating system. What should be included in it is:
Rig's complete total: 323.33 USD (not including tax, does the Internet have tax?)
If one has an idea I would preferably like them to be voiced here. I currently have 20 bucks, and hopefully I will figure out someway to make money... When one thinks one usually rembers the operating system... which is an extra 100 bucks roughly... shit... so...

Get the operating system later, install Ubuntu (or any other flavor (Mint, etc) and you're good to go. :)

This is a decent how-to as for creating a USB thumb drive within Windows. You need at least a 4 Gigabyte USB thumbdrive to load the image.

In short, theres a util and you download the image.

unetbootin http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
Download the .iso from here > http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick#Creating_a_bootable_Ubuntu_USB_flash_drive_from_Windows

That should explain how to get the image to the usb flash drive. You would then boot from USB on the new computer when you get it and it would start the installer.

If that guide is not easy to follow(I simply glanced over it), google unetbootin ubuntu 14 and there should be plenty of much better tutorials/screenshots.

My only concern is that if you have Intel HD 4000 or lower, performance in MC will suck badly. I have HD 5000 in my macbook and it runs great. My wife has the 4000 in her lenovo and its horrid..

I couldnt tell from the CPU which one was included..

Personal advice, don't use Mint. .-.

Then again, my laptop has an early dev build that can't update.

Oooh... I thought that Ubuntu was mint... I feel slow. Why shouldn't I use Linux?
The majority of games are made for Windows. You can be limiting your future gaming experiences by using a less supported/used OS.

That being said, linux is far less resource intensive and has a lot of community support and free software for it.
